Dixon Water Foundation’s Casey Wade and Philip Boyd discuss how they manage for grasslands that promote healthy cattle, healthy vegetation, and healthy watersheds. Dixon Water Foundation owns ranches in the Oaks and Prairies ecoregion of North Texas and in the Chihuahuan Desert grasslands of the Trans-Pecos region of Far West Texas. In this seminar, Wade and Boyd will cover considerations that need to be made while ranching the semi-arid grasslands, how they address these issues, and how ranchers, cattle, birds, grasses, and soil all play crucial roles in conserving the water resources of Texas.
